In this time of solitude humanity is forced to endure right now, it is not possible to attend any weekend events or social gatherings. Rather than living our fast paced normal lives, we are forced to slow down and live life in a more conscious and relaxed fashion. Below is a list of things you can do to slow yourself down, reconnect with your soul and your family, and really take the time to disconnect from social media. Happy quarantining 🙂
Been wanting to read that New York Times Best-Seller but haven’t been able to find the time with the chaos of normal life? Or hoping to take advantage of this time of isolation to improve your BEST version of your SELF. Some of our recommendations are “The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F!”, “The One Thing”, and for all you small business owners out there wondering how you’ll survive when things go back to normal, check out “The Pumpking Plan”.
Try lying down with your eyes closed, palms up and while focusing on your breath. Or spend 20 minutes sitting crosslegged and repeat a soothing word to yourself in your head.
Workout At Home
You don’t need weights to get in a good workout. Go for a run! Spend time outside. Walking around outside in the sun at a healthy distance from other humans or friendly dogs does good for your soul and gets you some natural vitamin D.
Make a great YouTube or Pinterest recipe and create a meal to be proud of. It’s a good idea to stock up on pasta, rice, canned vegetables, fruits, and spices so that more recipes are within reach.
Clean and Organize
We’re all settled down for once so why not organize the places in your house you never have the time to?
Hop on YouTube and watch some guided yoga tutorials. Keep yourself moving and stretch out your body, it needs it more than you know!
Sit down, turn on some tunes, and create art! Grab some paint, canvases, or just draw. It’s so underrated and does amazing things when it comes to calming you down! A Time To Kiln in Red Bank is offering “DIY at Home” kits.
Family Game Night
Really take the time to bond with your families during this time. A simple board game can create great bonds, laughs, and amazing memories. The time is now! Grandma and Grandpa are probably missing in-person contact more than anyone. Have them join in on the game virtually through FaceTime or Video Chat!
Start Planting A Garden
